Job description

Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and accurately reporting the flow of materials across both plants, including Work-in-Process, Semi-Finished Goods, and Finished Goods. This position also supports production employees by delivering empty material-handling containers and servicing material needs throughout the assigned plant.
Responsibilities
  • Check scale accuracy every morning using dead weights.
  • Weigh, tag, and record inventory transactions for production, warehouse, and outside-processing functions.
  • Record inventory movements in CMBIS modules to maintain accurate records.
  • Place stored items in the correct rack locations.
  • Transfer empty material-handling containers to departmental staging areas.
  • Maintain all required paperwork.
  • Complete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment used in the role.
  • Inspect the forklift daily.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift license that must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Knowledge of Kanban cards, pull systems, and computer data entry.
  • Ability to operate weight-counting scales; training will be provided.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, manufacturing and ABC prints, work-order packets, and Non-Conforming Material Reports.
  • Ability to review production schedules and accurately identify and label products during weighing and counting.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, lower, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.

Shift Hours and Overtime
  • Second shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m.
  • Shift premium: Additional $1.00 per hour.
  • Friday overtime: Starts at 2:00 p.m. and may last up to eight hours.
  • Overtime may be optional or mandatory based on business needs.

Additional Information
  • Base pay: $20.00 per hour.
  • Employees must complete training on the operation of weight-counting scales.
  • The role supports material movement and inventory accuracy across both plants.
