Job Description:
Summary:
This position supervises daily Materials Management functions within the hospital. The Site Manager may be responsible for supply chain activities in multiple Ballad Health facilities simultaneously. The MM Site Manager is responsible for departmental budgets and assists all hospital departments with their respective supply budgets. Functions include reviewing supply requisitions, receipt of supplies, requisition template revisions, and control and distribution of medical supplies and in some cases, equipment at the facility. Supports Materials Management policies and maintains facility specific policies and procedures for all materials and supply functions. Maintains high ethical standards. Routinely interacts with accounting. Provides routine and special reports and other information to the Market Director of Materials Management and other management as requested. Serves as a backup to staff as required.
Access to patient information may be needed to fulfill the responsibilities of this role. Adherence to confidentiality policies and practices is required.
Requirements:
An Associates degree and 3 years of materials management experience OR a Bachelors degree and 1 year of general leadership experience is required. Must be computer literate and proficient in various programs. Must be able to learn to use the Lawson Materials Management System. This position requires good communication and negotiation skills. Must be cooperative and work well with staff at all levels. Must present a professional and friendly image to the public, medical staff, and employees.
