About the Role
The marketing technology specialist will support the firm's marketing technology (MarTech) stack and its intersection with business development and communications activities. This role will provide in-house expertise, training and support for Clients & Markets on multiple MarTech platforms including webinars, website CMS, CRM, email marketing, video, experience management and analytics software.ย 

The individual is expected to be well versed in current and future technology offerings and understand how marketing technology platforms work together to optimize WilmerHale's ability to market itself to clients and prospects. The marketing technology specialist will work closely with all Clients & Markets personnel, the firm's Information Services (IS) Department, and vendors.ย

What You Will Be Doing
Webinar and Virtual Meeting Management
  • Oversee the technology setup and execution of webinars and virtual meetings to provide quality control and identify and address technical errors or inconsistencies.
  • Assess current processes and technology related to webinars and virtual meetings to streamline and refine roles and improve the finished product, including expanding video capabilities and archiving/enabling on-demand viewing.
  • Provide training and assistance to Clients & Markets team members responsible for disseminating event invitations and other email marketing deliverables.
Technology Mastery and Support
  • Master and support internal and external marketing technology platforms, including ON24, MS Teams, Vuture, InterAction, Foundation and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Help identify and evaluate new technologies and trends, support testing and rollout of new technologies, and seek continuous improvement across all technology platforms.
  • Provide technical input on and help maintain templates, guidelines and Quick Reference Guides related to Clients & Markets use of marketing technology platforms.ย 
Thought Leadership Initiatives
  • Assist in the creation and dissemination of thought leadership, specifically client alerts and blogs, through the website CMS and email marketing tool.
Clients & Markets Coordination
  • Oversee Clients & Markets coordinator workloads by utilizing internal tracking technology. Make capacity-driven decisions to assign work while monitoring timelines. Provide status reports to department leadership and help foster a proactive culture.
  • Provide training and assistance to Clients & Markets staff responsible for developing webinars and virtual events and act as an expert resource within the department and to other firm personnel, lawyers and clients regarding event technology capabilities, functionality, trends and best practices.
  • Help maintain and align marketing mailing lists with key areas of practice and client interest.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Liaise with IS Department colleagues to enlist technical support, optimize performance, test and troubleshoot, and integrate marketing technology across various platforms.
  • Help manage relationships with marketing technology vendors to implement and remain up to date on features, functionality, upgrades and updates; adopt best practices; refine processes; address and resolve issues; and extract value.
Data Management and Analysis
  • Maintains all department email distribution lists by ensuring timely updates for department arrivals and departures.
  • Generate and analyze metrics related to website, event and email marketing efforts using platforms such as, Vuture, ON24 and PowerBI.
