General Description
The Marketing Projects Manager provides operational and administrative leadership in support of the College's Marketing Department. Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, this position coordinates departmental projects, manages administrative operations, oversees budgeting and purchasing processes, supports project planning and workflow management, and serves as the primary coordinator for departmental business functions. The position collaborates with internal departments, external vendors, and campus stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of marketing initiatives and special projects while supporting the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
Minimum two (2) years of full time work experience in project coordination, communications, marketing operations, business operations, or administrative management.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to administration, staff, faculty, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to frequently move about the office and OCCC campuses to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer, other office equipment, and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
Minimum two (2) years of full time work experience in project coordination, communications, marketing operations, business operations, or administrative management at an institution of higher education.
Required Training
Quarterly compliance training as assigned by institution
Work Hours
Working hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm
Occasional evenings and weekends as required.

Job Duties (Duties Assignment Statement)
Project CoordinationLead and coordinate departmental projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and project milestones are achieved.
Coordinate cross-functional marketing and communications initiatives involving multiple campus departments and external partners.
Develop project plans, monitor progress, identify potential risks, and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.
Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and departmental priorities through effective project planning and coordination.
Administrative SupportProvide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director of Communications to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Coordinate departmental purchasing, vendor relationships, contracts, invoices, and payment processing.
Monitor departmental budgets and expenditures, reconcile purchasing card transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other documentation to support departmental operations and executive decision-making.
Maintain departmental records, contracts, files, and other administrative documentation while exercising appropriate confidentiality.
OperationsCoordinate daily departmental operations, workflow, and project priorities to support the successful execution of marketing and communications initiatives.
Coordinate departmental meetings, planning sessions, special events, and other operational activities.
Develop, maintain, and improve departmental processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance operational effectiveness and customer service.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, resource utilization, and administrative efficiencies across the department.
Assist with the coordination and distribution of marketing materials, publications, and departmental communications.
Collaborate with departmental staff to support marketing campaigns, events, and institutional initiatives.
Support assessment, planning, reporting, and other operational initiatives as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
