Job description

Looking for a fast-paced atmosphere where you can make your mark? The Senior Marketing Events Manager owns VIP's event strategy as a pipeline engine and will be the first dedicated event manager ever at our 50 year old org! You will design and execute a calendar of owned events, roadshows, and industry conference presences that generate qualified leads, accelerate deals, and deepen customer relationships. Events at VIP are not brand awareness plays - they are revenue vehicles. Success in this role will mean bringing your SaaS company event expertise and processes to a team that's eager for your organization and project management. VIP has just undergone a rebrand. In this role, you will be helping to transform the outward face of VIP, its booth and event presence. You will own our customer summit where we invite over 500 customers to convene annually in a US city to learn about and expand their usage of our products.
Position Type: Full Time, Remote
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution for VIP's annual Summit, roadshows, and large and small beverage industry events
  • Build a repeatable events program and processes focused on clear pipeline attribution. Every event has a pre-defined revenue goal and post-event ROI report
  • Partner with sales to align event targeting to key accounts and active pipeline, ensuring the right buyers are in the room
  • Manage vendor relationships, venue contracts, AV, catering, and all event logistics
  • Develop pre-event demand gen campaigns in partnership with the demand gen manager to maximize registration and attendance
  • Own VIP's presence at major industry conferences (NBWA, WSWA) - booth strategy, sponsorships, speaking opportunities
  • Build VIP Summit 2027 from the ground up as a flagship customer retention and expansion event
  • Utilize VIP-approved AI tools to creatively drive efficiency and enrich your work

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of B2B events experience with demonstrable pipeline and revenue outcomes
  • Experience managing large-scale owned events (500+ attendees) and multi-city roadshow programs, SaaS business experience a plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Proven track record of aligning events strategy to sales and revenue goals
  • Proven pre, during, and post event playbook that is repeatable, scalable process for event management across internal teams
  • Experience with event technology platforms (Cvent, EventMobi, or similar)
  • Budget management experience - ability to maximize ROI within defined spend parameters
  • Proficient in Hubspot
  • Willingness to be curious with AI and to drive work creativity using AI-tools
  • Beverage, alcohol or CPG industry experience a plus
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills
