POSITION SUMMARY
Newrez is seeking a versatile and imaginative Marketing Copywriter to join our Creative team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and skilled storyteller who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment. You will craft compelling copy across a wide range of formats-from digital ads and social media posts to long-form blog articles and print collateral-supporting both internal and external communications.
DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Adopt and enhance company's voice, tone and messaging.
  • Develop and refine Company's brand voice, tone, and messaging across all platforms.
  • Write and edit copy for:
    • Press releases, blog/byline articles, and award submissions.
    • Website pages, email campaigns, digital ads, and print materials.
    • Social media content tailored to platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support:
    • Business channels: Joint Venture/Retail, Wholesale, Correspondent Lending, Direct to Consumer.
    • Corporate brand initiatives and industry representation.
    • Talent acquisition efforts through engaging recruitment content.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all written communications.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible language.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and incorporate feedback to elevate creative output.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, Communications, Journalism, or related field- or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of professional copywriting experience, ideally within a marketing agency or corporate creative team.
  • Proven experience in crafting copy across digital, print, and social platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of work (digital, print, long-form, short-form).
  • Portfolio of work samples provided through a link or PDF attachment.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, and a passion for creative excellence.
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Deadline focused and flexible under fluctuating workload.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a face-paced, creative environment.
  • Ability to manage own workload and follow projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at a time.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
  • Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
