Position Overview

The Junior Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling, high-quality copy across multiple marketing channels, including digital, print, and social platforms. Their work will thoughtfully engage audiences across multiple brands, skillfully adapting to each brands unique voice, style, and tone. In collaboration with their greater creative and marketing teams, the role will support lead generation, brand awareness, engagement, and internal communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in writing, English, communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred.
  • 13 years of copywriting, content creation, or marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different brands, audiences, and communication channels.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing best practices preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaborative project management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support content needs across multiple brands, communities, and service lines.

2. Brand Voice and Messaging

  • Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all marketing materials.
  • Ensure written content reflects brand positioning, values, and customer experience expectations.
  • Adapt messaging appropriately based on audience, channel, and campaign objectives.

3. Editing and Proofreading

  • Review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards prior to publication or distribution.
  • Incorporate feedback and creative leadership efficiently and accurately.

4. Research & Fact Checking

  • Utilize brand guides to ensure brand and messaging accuracy.
  • Conduct research to support content development.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive messaging, and audience insights.

5. SEO & Digital Optimization

  • Support SEO best practices through keyword integration and content optimization.
  • Assist in improving website content performance and search visibility.
  • Collaborate with social, digital, and performance marketing teams on content strategy initiatives.

6. Collaboration & Project Support

  • Partner with writers, designers, project managers, marketing managers, and social media teams to execute campaigns and deliverables.
  • Participate in project meetings, creative reviews, and content planning discussions.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.

7. Time Management & Organization

  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

General Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Travel to different locations may be required.
