This position is responsible for authoring product descriptions, blogs, marketing, email and SEO copy for Spencer’s and Spirit sites, as well as other potential branded digital initiatives.

  • Compile, organize, and write product descriptions, attributes, keywords, and metadata into the content management system
  • Write snipes, blog, and other marketing pieces for our sites utilizing SEO best practices
  • Understand each brand’s style/voice and maintain tight quality control over all content created
  • Proofread and edit all site content
  • Draft email copy
  • Draft Amazon copy
  • Successfully incorporate all changes and suggestions from internal department reviewers, business partners, legal department, and compliance reviewers
  • Add keywords/tags to web content and publish to appropriate channels
  • Develop content for product pages, news articles, emails and landing pages as needed
  • Follow SEO best practices to ensure content helps raise brand visibility and drive natural search traffic
  • Adhere to naming, copy, and spec conventions as established by product managers

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or up to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.                         
  • Ability to write professionally, creatively, succinctly, and persuasively
  • Ability to adjust in a fast-paced and creative environment

The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
