Geologist Intern

Job Summary:

Our Geology department is searching for an intern. Main tasks are to provide support to mapping and organizational projects and to learn. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of subsurface geology through various sources of data
  • Subsurface mapping of geologic formations showing structural setting, thickness, porosity, etc.
  • Management and updating of well databases

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or related Geosciences discipline.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
