Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia
To be considered for Manufacturing Engineer II, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing (or related) role.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and data compilation/analysis
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will:
  • Work and maintain confidential information.
  • Support and mentor lower lever manufacturing engineers
  • You will be the support to the Slip Ring production line and Outsource Vendors.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
  • Create engineering and tool drawings, order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
  • Review and respond to request for quotes on new orders.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
  • Travel off-Site travel domestically and internationally
  • Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they apply such as ITAR
  • Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures
  • Support technical exchange discussions with suppliers and Moog.
  • Cross-train to help in other areas.
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.

Salary Range Transparency:
