Job description

Basic Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing Engineering Assistant will provide essential support to the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring efficient and effective production processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Process Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining detailed process documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality control plans.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Project Support: Provide administrative support for engineering projects, including scheduling, documentation, and tracking progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to identify and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

By effectively fulfilling these responsibilities, the Manufacturing Engineering Assistant will contribute significantly to the overall success of the manufacturing operation.

Assignment of Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Identify high risk production operations and developing manufacturing fixtures and aids
  • Develop standard operating procedures to regulate processes
  • Participate in CCB, Design Review, RCCA, and initial release efforts
  • Manage and prioritize workload of tasks to maintain on time delivery to customers
  • Assist with ERP management
  • Other efforts required by the organization

Minimum Requirements for Education, Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • >2 years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Strong aptitude in BOMs and methods of mfg.
  • Highly proficient with excel, word, projects. ppt
  • Interpret drawings IAW ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5
  • Proficient at creating fixtures and WIs

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Expert in Epicor
  • Certified SolidWorks Associate/Professional
  • GD&T training certification
  • Experience with DoD product development
  • Experience with composite materials
  • Highly experience with excel, word, projects. ppt
