About the Role
We are looking for an entry-level Process Engineer to join our Vascular Graft engineering team supporting commercial manufacturing. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, cross-functional, and collaborative environment to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. Process Engineers play a critical role in ensuring stable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations. This includes hands-on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and leading technical projects that deliver measurable business impact. Process Engineers are expected to drive and support work that sustains or improves manufacturing performance, which may occasionally require flexibility outside of standard working hours to support a 7 day operation.
This position will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
  • Support existing manufacturing lines, including maintaining manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and standard operating procedures with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet performance targets by reducing cost, improving efficiency, and minimizing manufacturing lossby applying lean principles, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and variation
  • Lead engineering projects, including tracking project progress, communicating status to stakeholders, and working to resolve obstacles
  • Design, build, and implement fixtures, equipment, and tools to improve efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and quality
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and implementing effective, timely solutions
  • Conduct equipment and process validations, qualifications, and verifications in support of production and regulatory requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and other functional groups to drive solutions and sustain performance
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team environment

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Strong application of engineering fundamentals and statistical tools for process development, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and support multiple projects against timelines and deliverables
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including influencing across functions
  • Ability to identify critical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to risk-based decision making
  • Ability to clearly document, communicate, and present technical work
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

  • Experience in a regulated industry and exposure to quality systems, documentation, and methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement; applied experience using Lean, Six Sigma or other similar methodologies for process improvement
