  • Design, review, and optimize VBScript (VBS) and C-based logic to support migration strategy, customization, diagnostics, and long-term system stability
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less-experienced engineers, including guidance on best practices, coding standards, and troubleshooting approaches
  • Assume technical ownership for assigned migration scopes, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, and resolution of complex or ambiguous engineering challenges
  • Actively contribute to and, as appropriate, lead technical design reviews, system testing, and customer acceptance activities

  • Strong proficiency in VBScript (VBS) and C, with demonstrated experience supporting complex automation systems
  • Proven experience leading or technically owning work within a team-based engineering or migration environment
  • Deep understanding of legacy automation platforms and the ability to translate obsolete designs into modern, supportable solutions
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with ambiguous, incomplete, or undocumented legacy requirements
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with project teams, management, and customers on technical matters
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced, hands-on experience with FactoryLink (FLink) systems, including detailed analysis of legacy architectures and behaviors to support complex migration efforts
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a senior technical role on automation system migration, modernization, or lifecycle management projects, with accountability for technical outcomes
  • Proven capability in customer-facing project environments, including participation in technical alignment discussions, issue resolution, and support of customer acceptance activities
  • Experience working on medium to high complexity projects with limited oversight, applying Siemens engineering standards and best practices
