Job description

Job Title: Sr. I&C Engineering Lead

Location: San Jose (onsite)
Duration:  1 year (contract-to-hire/Temp-to-Perm)
Start Date: 9/14
Work Schedule: M-F 40 hour weeks
Project Details:
Senior I&C Engineer to manage a local team of 15 in San Jose. Will be working closely with the client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to maintain schedule, design requirements, system integration, and programming tasks. Example systems include all aspects of facility management, gas life safety and cabinet monitoring including PLC and HMI programming and SCADA communications.
Duties:
- Manage onsite team of 15+ engineers, technicians, and programming specialists.
- Provide scope, schedule and budget information to the project leadership.
- Architect full automation solutions including PLC, HMI, SCADA, networks, and field devices (design/specs through programming & startup)
- Lead development of HMI/SCADA systems with focus on usability, performance, and reliability
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system failures and production issues
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering from a USA accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license from any state or actively in process
- Minimum 10 years of direct relatable experience.
- Advanced experience working with the following, Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, RSLogix) Siemens (TIA Portal, S7), Emerson (Machine Edition).
- Expertise with SCADA platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC, Cimplicity)
- Experience with motion control, robotics, and high-speed automation systems
Plus:
- Familiarity with MES integration, databases (SQL), and IIoT systems
- Extensive knowledge with troubleshooting, verification and commissioning services
- Basic knowledge with AutoCAD
- Experience working in semiconductor or datacenter environments including field verifications
