About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will deliver value to our customers through improvements to our applications. Specifically, you will be responsible for the development and successful adoption of our applications by our customers. You will be working at the intersection of multiple teams that include user experience, subject matter experts, engineering, and marketing.

  • Engage with our SMEs and customers to deeply understand data workflows and pain points.
  • Establish trusted customer relationships.
  • Collect customer insights and create actionable product ideas.

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Identify and validate recurring customer problems that represent market opportunities and align with organizational capabilities.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and be able to talk about strengths and weaknesses of our competition.
  • Have broad awareness of the Certara Data Science portfolio to optimize software building.

Product Management

  • Guide product lifecycle from ideation to development to go-to-market to scaled product-market-fit - ensuring successful execution of all steps.
  • Build roadmap that aligns with our application's vision and strategy.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to ensure successful outcomes for our customers.
  • Translate product vision and strategy into reasoned software priorities.
  • Understand the personas of customers, and how each persona engages with our software.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met with enterprise grade capabilities in performance, scalability, and reliability; authentication; access control; and software validation and compliance.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in science or technology related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in product management
  • Demonstrated ability to be an extremely organized system thinker.
  • Proficiency in shaping an idea in way that delivers immediate business value beginning with Minimum Viable Product
  • Excellence in analytics, independent research, unscripted interviews, and other intel-gathering techniques
  • Professionally challenge existing ideas and workflows to ensure optimal outcomes for users
  • Curiosity about our clients and products
  • Willingness to learn and serve, flexible in adapting to rapid organizational change, receptive of constructive criticism.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, low tolerance for mess; able to create order out of chaos.
  • Ability to communicate effectively from a remote working environment.

  • Familiarity with the clinical data stream, in areas adjacent to Data Management and Biostatistics
  • Education or qualifications relating to business, programming, data science, health sciences, medical.
