POSITION OVERVIEW
The Producer of Smosh Pit plays a central role in developing and delivering comedy-forward variety content across YouTube and social platforms. Reporting to the Director of Smosh Pit, this position blends creativity, coordination, and comedic instinct to support the day-to-day production of flagship Smosh Pit content. Ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving creative environment and loves creating compelling content as much as they love making people laugh.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development - Contribute to brainstorms and help shape unscripted, comedy-forward formats across Smosh Pit, including improv, game shows, vlogs, and podcasts.
  • Support Pre-Production & Shoot Logistics - Coordinate with production on pitch forms, call sheets, casting, schedules, and talent releases. Own and direct episodes when assigned, and help ensure shoot days run smoothly and collaboratively.
  • Oversee Post-Production - Partner with editors to shape story arcs, guide tone and pacing, deliver editorial feedback, and finalize episodes for publishing in collaboration with the social team.
  • Collaborate Across Teams - Maintain strong communication with cast, crew, post-production, and channel leadership to keep creative and production priorities aligned.
  • Support Branded Integrations - Partner with Brand Partnerships and Production teams to bring sponsored content to life while ensuring integrations feel authentic to Smosh Pit's voice.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience producing digital content, especially comedy, creator-led formats, or large-scale unscripted productions
  • Background or training in improvisation, comedy, performance, or entertainment production
  • Confident directing talent and collaborating with cast, crew, editors, and freelance creatives
  • Strong awareness of pop culture, internet trends, and the evolving YouTube and digital media landscape
  • Experience managing post-production workflows and providing editorial feedback
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and Monday.com
  • Known for follow-through, flexibility, problem-solving, and a positive, team-oriented mindset
