Job description

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This role sits within the Jordan Apparel Technical Development team-craft-obsessed, fast, and precise. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Development, the role partners daily with Design, Product Management, Materials, Color, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Product Creation Center to turn bold ideas into finished product with purpose and performance.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Technical Developer who blends technical mastery with creative instinct. This person knows apparel construction end to end and can translate bold design intent into scalable, production-ready product without losing the edge. They're a trusted authority on graphic embellishment techniques, with deep screen-printing experience and a sharp eye for detail.
They think holistically-connecting concept, fit, materials, graphics, and manufacturing realities-while keeping athletes, consumers, and deadlines front and center. They show up as a steady, credible voice: listening first, influencing with clarity, and solving problems with optimism. They embrace change, seek feedback, and hold themselves accountable to the highest standards of craft, collaboration, and inclusion.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical development and/or design experience in the apparel industry
  • Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Deep experience with apparel screen-printing and graphic embellishments; proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience with CAD pattern design software (Optitex) and 3D tools (CLO or Browzwear) preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You'll lead technical execution for Jordan Apparel from concept through production. You'll partner across teams to solve problems early, protect design intent, and deliver on time-without compromising quality or craft.
  • Manage assigned styles within the Jordan Apparel Technical Development team, collaborating daily with Design, Product Management, Materials, Color, Quality, Manufacturing, and the Product Creation Center
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs for factory partners, including measurements, construction sketches, and graphic placements
  • Request, track, review, and comment on physical and digital prototypes; lead focused proto review sessions
  • Develop clear product specifications and construction standards that improve manufacturability and quality
  • Navigate gates, calendars, and key milestones to ensure on-time production readiness
  • Communicate progress, risks, and solutions with clarity in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
