Job Description:
Astera is an independent, physician-owned multi-specialty practice specialized in cancer care, with over 40 years of expertise. Astera treats over 100K patients and operates 13 cancer sites across New Jersey, while expanding into rheumatology, urology, and other specialty care.

Using the latest treatment and research options, Astera's team of multidisciplinary experts work together to offer unparalleled patient support, personalized and sophisticated care, while minimizing clinical, financial and emotional barriers that patients face. Astera is committed to supporting the local community, including outreach and charitable causes that benefit local patients.
The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for overseeing communication, promotional and advertising efforts for Astera Cancer Care, Astera Urology and Solara Health NJ practices. The individual will closely partner with internal team members and external agencies to support the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies, and to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
This position will be hybrid, located in East Brunswick, NJ, with the ability to work remotely. Please note that this role will not provide relocation, and only local candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage advertising and promotional activities, including print and digital campaigns.
  • Manage the development, production, and distribution of promotional materials and giveaways to support marketing programs and field efforts.
  • Plan and manage events and galas, sponsorships and charitable contributions.
  • Develop, plan and execute educational programs by collaborating with the community and physicians.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new physicians and locations, including announcement mailings, photoshoots, and advertising efforts across websites, print materials, social media, and office signage.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Astera Cancer Care, Astera Urology, and Solara Health websites to ensure they are user-friendly, up-to-date, and reflective of the brand's mission.
  • Oversee reputation management, including Google reviews, claim listings, monitoring of ratings for physicians and locations.
  • Maintain the budget, approve and track marketing charges.
  • Plan and manage internal newsletters and patient email communications.
  • Collaborate efficiently and effectively with internal team members and external agency partners, including the OneOncology practice marketing department, to deliver on business objectives.
  • Drive a collaborative, curious, and inspired culture in the practice.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science; Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Marketing experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
