TITLE: Python Developer Lead/ Python Developer Professional (2 roles)

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid On-site - Tue, Wed and Thu)

Assignment Type: Very long term contract

Must Have Skills: Python, Pandas, Java, CI/CD, Docker, GIT, Unit Test, SQL, Excel, LinuxMaster s degree is required. Some knowledge of experience of Bonds if not Mortgage Backed Securities will be ideal. 70% back-end, 30% front-end.

Cash Flow Forecasting (CFF) is an Tier 1 application used for liquidity forecasting for rolling one year. This application is responsible for calculating daily cash inflows and outflows, prepare summary with appropriate limits set by FHFA, *** Board and management. CFF requires developers to build an application from ground up. This includes design of the database, python code development, User Interface development, sql report development etc.
Role and responsibility:
Interact with finance team and PeopleSoft implementation team to collect the detailed requirements
Design, develop and support software solution for the given requirements
Ensure new code and existing code updates meet standard technology development practices
Must meet automated testing requirements
Work with finance team and other developers to facilitate the reconciliation
Help customers to understand the result and to properly use the application
Assist in the operational execution of software solution to assist with the monitoring and control of application
Educational Qualifications:
Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and
Minimum of 5+ years experience as a technical lead on software development team, in addition to hands on
Must be able to understand requirements thoroughly and be able to direct junior team members
Demonstrated knowledge of (Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience)
- Python development
- Pandas, NumPy and other popular Python libraries
- Testing frameworks including PyTest
- SQL
- Experience with Linux OS is a must
- Containerization experience using Docker is a must
- SDLC, CI/CD Processes
- Must have experience using git for basic commands
- UI Development experience with Angular or React is a must, but prior experience with Solara would be ideal

Familiarity with:
- Jira
- Java (must have a basic understanding)
- Excel
- IDEs such as intelliJ
- Various financial instruments (Optional)
