About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Job Location: Bellevue, WA / Seattle, WA / San Francisco, CA
The Experience
We're seeking a dynamic engineering leader to own Salesforce Management Plane (SFMP), a framework built on safe-change principles that lets internal service owners onboard and execute pre-defined Day 2 production operations through REST APIs (Representational State Transfer application programming interfaces), with the guardrails, approvals, and auditability that safe production change requires, eliminating the need for standing production access. SFMP is central to Salesforce's move toward least-privilege, zero-touch production and a significant reduction in emergency production access across the fleet.
You'll combine deep expertise in production operations, security, and compliance with people-first leadership to deliver mission-critical tooling that service owners across Salesforce depend on to operate safely and compliantly at scale.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
  • Champion AI-driven development practices and agentic workflows, helping every engineer multiply velocity through hybrid human-AI development
  • Partner with Product to drive the SFMP roadmap, including auto-discovery of service instances, operation-level access control, a central invocation engine, safe-change compliance, and multi-target execution
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of eight engineers, cultivating a culture of security-first ownership and operational excellence
  • Champion observability, incident response, and compliance rigor, tracking key metrics for adoption, reduction in production-access requests, and system reliability

You're Our Person If...
  • You have 5+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • You have a proven track record leading platform, infrastructure, or developer-tools teams with end-to-end ownership
  • You have strong technical grounding in production operations, REST API platforms, and security and access control, including role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles
  • You're an effective communicator across technical, product, and executive audiences

Even Better If...
  • You have hands-on experience with AI-native development tools, including large language models (LLMs) and agent orchestration
  • You lead with both technical authority and human-centric coaching
  • You have an advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • You have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, compliance frameworks, or secure production tooling
  • You have experience with least-privilege or zero-touch production initiatives at enterprise scale
  • You're familiar with Salesforce's internal infrastructure and change-management practices
