We are seeking a Principal Radar Engineer to join our forward-thinking engineering team. This position will be critical in defining radar system architectures, designing radar processing algorithms, and supporting integration into counter-defensive systems. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise and leadership skills to drive our radar projects from conception to completion.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge
  • Radar Systems: In-depth knowledge of radar system architectures, including air-to-air and counter-defensive radar systems. Familiarity with radar system concepts such as detection, discrimination, track, and signal processing algorithms.
  • Algorithm Development: Strong understanding of radar processing algorithms, waveform design, and signal processing techniques.
  • RF Engineering: Comprehensive understanding of Phased Array and Digital Beamforming Technology, as well as electronic protection methods.
  • Statistical and Numerical Analysis: Ability to conduct statistical analysis of radar system performance data using real or simulated data.
  • Systems Engineering: Expertise in the development of systems engineering artifacts such as System/Subsystem Requirements Documents (SRD), Architecture Diagrams, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP).

Skills
  • Technical Leadership: Experience leading the development of radar systems, from architecture to implementation.
  • Systems Engineering Tools: Proficiency with MATLAB, DOORS, and Cameo System Modeler.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Technical Communication: Proficient in creating and delivering both informational and technical briefings. Technical writing experience in generating program and proposal documentation such as CONOPS, Test Plans, etc.

Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in radar and RF engineering, preferably specializing in air-to-air radar systems.
  • Familiarity with missions such as active protection, vehicle protection, hostile fire detection, counter-UAV, counter-UAS, all-threat air surveillance, and 3D perimeter surveillance.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection techniques.
  • Experience using Jira for task management and issue tracking.

Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
