Job description

Role Overview

This role supports the development, analysis, and verification of advanced radar systems deployed across fixed, transportable, and naval platforms. The position focuses on systems engineering activities including requirements development, system architecture, performance analysis, modeling and simulation, and verification of scalable, software-defined, multi-mission radar systems within a secure defense environment.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, this individual will contribute across the systems engineering lifecycle, supporting system definition, architecture development, trade studies, modeling, integration planning, and requirements verification. The role partners closely with software, hardware, integration, and test engineers to ensure mission-critical radar capabilities meet performance, reliability, and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define, analyze, and manage system requirements using DOORS and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
  • Develop system architectures and support decomposition of radar systems into subsystems and components.
  • Perform system trade studies and analyses of alternatives to support technical decision-making.
  • Conduct radar performance modeling, simulation, and analysis using MATLAB and related tools.
  • Develop end-to-end subsystem integration and verification strategies.
  • Support requirements verification activities and ensure traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering assessments.
  • Document engineering artifacts and maintain technical data within engineering repositories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, integration, and test engineering organizations.
  • Support the development of scalable, software-defined radar systems utilizing AESA technologies and advanced signal processing concepts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required.


Skills

  • Experience with systems engineering for complex radar, aerospace, or defense systems.
