The Work

Our Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the architecture, design, CONOPS, requirements development, analysis, and implementation of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems.

The Radar Systems Engineer will:

  • Apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to develop revolutionary system solutions.
  • Support design and development, evaluation, and technical assessment of radar performance.
  • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.
  • You must have strong analytical and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Note:

  • This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • This position involves the ability to travel domestically and possibly internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout and integration testing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or related STEM degree with minimum 2 years' related experience.
  • Experience with C++ or equivalent object-oriented computing language, Matlab, and, scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: systems engineering, software and system analysis, requirements development, verification and validation, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.

Desired Skills

  • Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing.
  • Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.
  • Technical leadership experience with program execution.
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $142,760.
