Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Radar Systems Engineer II to join our Surface Radars and Radars team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting a range of sensor and effector programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to deployment.

Every day will bring new challenges, requiring collaboration across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you’ll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly

This is an onsite position based in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The role may require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution.

What You will Do:

You will develop concepts of operations for radar systems
You will be responsible for radar processing algorithm development
You will be responsible for radar software requirements development
You will be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
You will be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
You will be responsible for collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
You will present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:

An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
Experience with technical writing and oral presentations

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
