Job description

Detailed Primary Responsibilities:
  • Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects in new and adjacent markets, coordinating with the America's sales team on handoff and follow-up
  • Coordinate and lead seminars, conferences, and trade events within assigned regions to raise awareness of the Alpha brand and generate prospect interest
  • Build segmented target account and contact lists for new markets, converting them into marketing qualified leads for the Alpha global sales team
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify and prioritize new market segments with strong growth potential
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new market segments, including target profiles, outreach strategy, and success metrics
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaign plans and content that support lead generation and prospect nurturing in target segments
  • Represent Alpha at industry conferences, webinars, and trade seminars, delivering presentations that position Alpha's value proposition to key customers
  • Track and report on prospecting activity and pipeline metrics (leads generated, seminar attendance, conversion to sales opportunity), refining tactics based on results
  • Maintain and manage target accounts and contacts in CRM and prospecting tools
  • Share market insights and trends gathered through prospecting and research with marketing and product teams to inform positioning and roadmap decisions

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required (business, marketing, engineering, or related field)
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a business development, sales, or lead-generation role, ideally in a B2B or industrial market; experience in polymer, composite, elastomer, or related technical industries strongly preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated success building pipeline from scratch - prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and converting contacts into qualified leads
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences at conferences, webinars, and trade seminars
  • Ability to learn and articulate a technical value proposition, with support from marketing and product teams; prior exposure to engineered materials or industrial products a plus
  • Experience managing target accounts and contacts in a CRM and prospecting tools
  • Experience planning and executing campaigns or events that generate leads
  • Comfort engaging with technical buyers (engineers, R&D, procurement) and translating market/customer insights back to marketing and product teams
  • Strong project and task management skills
  • Comfort traveling within assigned region to lead seminars and attend industry events
