Job description

Executive Program Director
This position will involve overseeing multiple large scale, complex engagements, likely across multiple functional domain areas. Executive Program Directors will employ strong communication and organizational skills, technical and functional knowledge, and program leadership expertise to mobilize and lead the most complex and transformative Corporate Program Management (CPM) programs. This position will serve as the owner of the Finit-client relationship across engagements and will provide strategic guidance to project teams as needed to ensure success.
Accountability:
  • Lead and manage multiple large scale, complex programs and end-to-end engagements consisting of multiple functional domain areas. Ultimately accountable for the successful completion of each engagement.
  • Account for the shape of client's strategic vision and operational success beyond the scope of any one engagement.
  • Lead teams of Finit and client resources through project mobilization, including current state analysis, requirements gathering, foundation design, and future state roadmap planning.
  • Own creation of content for key project startup deliverables, including requirements matrices, scope definition, and high-level project strategy.
  • Define Finit project team roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong client relationships by demonstrating leadership during the Mobilize and Design project stages. Become advisor during the remaining project stages.
  • Serve as trusted quality assurance advisor during program execution and coordinate with project leaders to manage risk and tactical resource allocation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively to meet project goals and challenges.
  • Support Finit's business development activities such as project scoping, RFP responses, proposal development and preparation of project contracts. Serve as a trusted advisor to the client during the sales/pre-project process.
  • Maintain knowledge of CPM industry trends and product capabilities among key CPM vendors.
  • Provide content/functional expertise in the core CPM knowledge areas, including: Financial Close & Consolidation, Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis, and Data Governance.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes and provide solutions for Finit's clients.
  • Build, foster, and manage executive relationships with Finit clients before, during and after project completion.
  • Build and develop authentic Finit relationships.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop other Finitians. Develop a coaching/leading relationship with all levels of the client and internal team. Be able to "rally the troops" when necessary and successfully mediate between teams.
  • Show confident decision making despite uncertainty or incomplete information. Manage stressful or changing situations appropriately and confidently communicate plan and strategy, both internally and externally.
  • Provide real-time on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Communicate openly with client to obtain feedback.
  • Play a key role in driving and supporting critical internal Finit activities and projects, including recruiting, training, employee enablement and performance management.
  • Assume ownership of one's own personal growth at Finit and continuously seek to broaden and develop new job skills and expertise.

Skills:
  • Program Directors will typically have 12+ years of CPM experience with demonstrated program
  • Deep knowledge of the CPM product functionality and solution capabilities including Oracle/Hyperion and/or OneStream.
  • Current knowledge of CPM industry trends and deep understanding of industry issues impacting the CFO and CIO offices.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, and capable of tailoring communication based on the knowledge and needs of specific audiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to assist with managing both Finit staff and client stakeholders within the expectations of Finit's core values.
  • Energized by projects with high degree of uncertainty. Can manage this uncertainty appropriately for other team members.

Qualifications:
  • Previous OneStream experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent a plus.
  • CPA a plus.
