Job Title:Manager, Education ProgramDepartment:EHE | Human Sciences Administration

The Program Manager will function as part of the administrative team for the Sport, Fitness and Health Program and will be responsible for day-to-day of the program. The role will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of 2-4 student assistants and overseeing the onboarding and orienting of new lecturers in SFHP. This position will assist with program delivery by providing Carmen technical support for SFHP faculty. The Program Manager will also teach 3 credits of classes per semester within the Sport, Fitness and Health Program. The role will assist the Program Director in developing new courses and updating current courses to meet the need of students. The role will be responsible for program equipment including asset management and recommending the purchase of new equipment. They will design, implement, and maintain marketing strategies for the program. The position will work with the Director of SFHP to develop policies and producers to achieve the strategic plan.

45% - Responsible for day-to-day operations such as responding to public inquiries, student issues and faculty needs. They will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of two to four student assistants. Working with HR to onboard the new lectures in SHFP. Onboard, and schedule meetings to help orient the new lecturers.

30% - This position will assist with program delivery by providing Carmen technical support for students and faculty, scheduling academic courses using the Buckeylink system for all semesters and terms, assisting with the selection and ordering of all textbooks and instructional materials, updating and maintaining current university and departmental language for all syllabi, and maintaining the resource website for SFHP lecturers.

25% - Teach 3 credits of classes per semester within the Sport, Fitness and Health Program and will assist. Adding course work to Carmen, grading papers and working with students. Assisting with the development of new courses and updating current courses to meet the need of students. The role will be responsible for program equipment including asset management and recommending the purchase of new equipment. The role will also develop and maintain marketing strategies for the program, specifically as it pertains to visual and social media. The position will also serve as a liaison between the main campus and all regional campuses by communicating new class additions, syllabi changes and changes to existing courses and instructional materials.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in physical education, recreation, exercise physiology, public health or related fields.
  • Three years of relevant experience required.

Preferred expereince:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Three or more years of management experience.
