What are Manager Partners?

Manager Partners are professionals who hold both managerial and partnership roles within a company or organization. They are typically responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, and contributing to high-level decision-making. In many cases, Manager Partners also have an ownership stake in the business and are involved in setting strategic goals, driving growth, and ensuring profitability. Their dual role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to balance operational responsibilities with long-term planning.

The highest paying manager roles are often executive-level positions such as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), or Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with salaries frequently exceeding several hundred thousand dollars annually, especially in large corporations. Other high-paying managerial roles include Vice Presidents and General Managers in industries like finance, technology, and healthcare, where advanced skills and extensive experience are required.

Is being a BDM a stressful job?

A Business Development Manager (BDM) role can be stressful due to targets, client management, and sales pressure. The level of stress varies based on industry, company culture, and individual workload, but it often requires strong communication and time management skills. Managing client relationships and meeting sales goals are key aspects that can contribute to job stress.

Regular meetings, joint planning sessions, and shared performance metrics are common practices to foster collaboration and drive mutual success. Effective Manager Partners are skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-departmental coordination.

Who We Are
Colgate-Palmolive Company is a global consumer products company operating in over 200 countries specializing in Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Skin Care, and Pet Nutrition. Our products are trusted in more households than any other brand in the world, making us a household name!
Join Colgate-Palmolive, a caring, innovative growth company reimagining a healthier future for people, their pets, and our planet. Guided by our core values—Caring, Inclusive, and Courageous—we foster a culture that inspires our people to achieve common goals. Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all.

CP Skin Health Group is a place for your career to thrive!  We offer opportunity, challenge, and a great team of driven and dynamic individuals.  Encompassing the innovative skincare brands of PCA SKIN, and EltaMD, CP Skin Health Group is a fast-paced, agile organization dedicated to providing skin care solutions that are backed by science.

CP Skin Health Group is a part of the Colgate-Palmolive family, which provides our team with domestic and global career growth opportunities in all departments.  Our rich benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company-paid disability and more.  Plus our employees have access to our amazing skin care products!

Role Summary:

As the People Business Partner for CP Skin Health, you will be the lead HR presence and a key leadership team member at our Distribution Center. This is a hands-on role where you will balance daily HR operations with big-picture staffing and retention strategies. You will partner directly with DC managers and warehouse employees to resolve employee relations issues, ensure policy compliance, and build a positive, productive culture on the floor. The right candidate isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to tackle day-to-day warehouse HR needs while keeping us aligned with employment laws and company growth goals.

This role is on-site at the Distribution Center 4 days per week, and at the Corporate Office in Scottsdale, AZ, 1 day per week.  Bilingual English/Spanish is required to effectively support our frontline teams.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Leadership Coaching & Performance: Advise and train floor supervisors and managers on effective leadership. Guide them through performance management, corrective actions, proper documentation, and handling difficult conversations.

  • Strategic Staffing & Contingent Labor: Drive site-wide headcount planning and manage the contingent workforce strategy. Oversee temp agency vendor relationships, align temporary staffing levels with production volume, and manage the temp-to-permanent conversion pipeline.

  • Employee Relations & Positive Floor Culture: Serve as the trusted escalation point for complex employee relations. Conduct investigations, resolve floor conflicts, and proactively build an inclusive environment where frontline employees feel supported and valued.

  • Operational HR Oversight: Ensure the flawless execution of site-level HR operations. Provide strategic oversight on bi-weekly payroll integration/timecards, FMLA and medical leave administration, and comprehensive onboarding/offboarding programs.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Partner closely with Operations to champion site safety programs and manage workers' compensation processes. Develop, update, and implement localized site policies, employee handbooks, and job descriptions to ensure strict compliance with federal and state labor laws.

  • Data-Driven Interventions: Leverage real DC metrics—such as turnover, absenteeism, time-to-fill, and safety incidents—to diagnose organizational challenges, implement targeted training, and drive continuous improvement on the floor.

  • Corporate Alignment & Change Management: Partner with the broader HR team to successfully roll out company-wide HR initiatives in a way that makes sense for a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, with a focus on business partnership - ideally in a warehouse or distribution center facility.

  • Written and verbal fluency in Spanish

  • Technical proficiency in HR technology platforms and Google tools, particularly Google Sheets for complex organization projects and analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders and "courage to challenge" leaders when necessary.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading through change in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.

  • Proven experience working across a complex, matrixed organization with a clear global perspective

  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini to enhance strategic HR delivery, improve operational efficiency, and drive data-informed solutions.
