Manager of Rehabilitation

Central California

Our client is a 25 bed Critical Access not for profit hospital centrally located in California. Minutes to wine country and over 300 wineries!
Experience working in a flat organization with no more than 2 people in between you and the CEO at any time quick decisions and the ability to make an impact without corporate approval! Work with patients in a quaint community from cradle to grave and get to know them as more than just a number!
They are looking for a leader to take the Rehabilitation department to the next level of patient centered care.
Responsible for the overall operation of the Rehabilitation Department in a hospital inpatient and out-patient setting. This position assures the quality of patient care delivery in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology services. The Manager of Rehab Services acts as a liaison with various MMHS departments and MMHS administration. The Manager provides leadership and professional growth opportunities for department staff. The Manager is responsible for departmental financial planning, budget preparation, and operations. The Manager of Rehab Services functions in accordance with their State Practice Act.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Required Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology, required.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven leadership ability with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a clinician in an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation program.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management position in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability to plan and supervise the services and activities of the department.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory, and compliance requirements for an acute care hospital for all Therapy Disciplines (OT, PT, SLP).
  • Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Current CA Physical Therapist License, or Occupational Therapy License, or Speech-Language Pathology License, Required.
  • Current AHA BLS certificate, required.
