Senior Director, Operations 


We’re seeking a seasoned leader within the life sciences industry to be the Senior Director of Operations at a leading biotech company in South San Francisco, CA.


Responsibilities 

  • Lead and optimize all operations to ensure efficiency, quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Build capabilities and allocate resources to support company growth and strategic goals. 
  • Align operational activities with business needs through close partnership with Commercial and Finance. 
  • Support product scale-up and improvement initiatives across teams. 
  • Lead a high-performing team with clear accountability and disciplined budget management. 
  • Provide transparent reporting to leadership on operational performance and risks. 


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline and 5+ years as Head of Operations, 10+ years of operations experience in biotech, life sciences, or a regulated manufacturing environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on familiarity with microfluidic platforms
  • Expert in managing operations across multiple functional teams with the ability to drive results in a fast-moving company.
  • Knowledgeable of quality systems and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively across functions.


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience leading operations within smaller companies and rolling out new products.
