Job description

About the role and team

Working at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. In this role, you will bridge digital and real worlds, powering movement and shaping communities through scalable analytical products and operational excellence. You will be part of a team that creates an environment where excellence is the norm and where we move fast and stay resilient to adapt to constant change.

This role is not about following a polished playbook; it is about navigating ambiguity and making smart decisions with imperfect information. You will need to take ownership, stay adaptable, and build with both urgency and care. If you are energized by the messy reality of doing big things and motivated by real-world impact, this is where you will grow.

 Rate of Pay:                 $131,000 to $160,000 per year
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.
What you'll do

  • Responsible for managing and optimizing Uber's retail matching and pricing.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, Regional Operations, Legal, and Finance, ensuring that delivery-time positioning strengthens Uber's competitiveness while improving cost efficiency through batching and operational optimization.
  • Play a key role in balancing user experience with profitability by using delivery times and options as strategic levers to reduce cost per trip and increase gross bookings across global markets.
  • May telecommute.

Basic Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Position requires:
    • Write and understand SQL to optimize query performance/cost in distributed systems like Presto.
    • Python and data libraries to build monitoring tools, perform simulations, and automate processes;
    • Build decision-grade dashboards using Tableau;
    • Develop custom interactive data applications with Streamlit and Looker;
    • Manage A/B and switchback experimentation design, monitoring and evaluating using proprietary Experimentation Platforms;
    • Understand marketplace economics, including modeling Price and Supply Elasticity and analyzing the impact of Surge logic on conversion;
    • Model technical investments using Sensitivity Analyses to quantify business uncertainty;
    • Read and write JSON to audit and modify product configurations in Flipr.

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook - it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves - we'd love to hear from you.

You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.
