This is where YOU fit in: As the General Clerk, you will provide general office expertise and support to the Navy Exchange and NEXCOM at the Naval Air Station Lemoore...no two days will look the same.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the local office, provide professional assistance to managers and associates, and make a positive daily impact to the mission of serving the best customer - our activity duty and retired military, dependents and civilian patrons.

So, what might a "typical" day look like?
Performs a variety of administrative duties:
ร˜ Prepares correspondence such as letters, memos, Naval messages, etc. in proper format from rough draft.
ร˜ Make travel arrangements for employees and official visitors.
ร˜ Prepares, separates, sorts, matches, verifies, audits, and extends, posts, etc.
ร˜ Prepare routine reports and maintain operating files, records and logs.
ร˜ Maintains office supplies inventory.
ร˜ Performs sales audit functions such as preparing or assisting in the preparation of the daily cash.
ร˜ Performs a variety of timekeeping administrative functions:
ร˜ Audits and assists in reviewing time cards, processing payroll, maintaining payroll record files, etc.
The Qualifiers:
ร˜ Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties, including recruiting, training, data administration, and reporting.
ร˜ 1 year of progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind.
ร˜ Knowledge of computer and management systems.
ร˜ Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE 1 year progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE None required OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE 1 2 year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of 1 year of general.
