National Account Manager - Foodservice Equipment Sales
 
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven National Account Manager to drive sales and expand our market presence in the foodservice industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of commercial equipment and a proven track record of at least 5 years in B2B sales, specifically within food equipment manufacturing and sales to chain restaurants and other national accounts. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle, building long-lasting client relationships, and consistently exceeding sales targets. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Sales: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within national and regional chain restaurants and other target markets. This includes cold calling, following up on leads, and attending trade shows and industry conferences.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., procurement, culinary R&D, operations personnel) within client organizations.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments, present detailed product demonstrations, and tailor equipment solutions to meet specific customer needs and operational requirements.
  • Negotiation and Contracts: Negotiate prices, contract terms, and service agreements, and prepare sales contracts and order forms for processing.
  • Sales Strategy and Reporting: Develop and implement strategic sales plans and territory business plans to achieve sales goals and expand market share. Monitor sales performance, prepare accurate forecasts and budgets, and track all sales activity in the company CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, logistics, and service departments, to ensure seamless project execution, on-time delivery, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and product innovations to adjust sales strategies accordingly and identify new business opportunities. 
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of recorded, successful sales experience in Food Equipment manufacturing Sales.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue growth.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the commercial equipment industry, market trends, and experience selling into the foodservice/restaurant supply chain is highly preferred.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or additional years of proven experience will be considered.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Must be initiative-taking, purposeful, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 35 to 40 per cent of the time) to customer locations and trade events as required.
