Job description

Job Summary:  
The Hopewell Inn is seeking a Full-Time team-oriented candidate for the General Manager position. Ideal candidate must be courteous and possess excellent leadership and customer service skills. Candidate must also be willing to work weekdays/nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and perform all duties of the restaurant 
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory pars alongside the Executive Chef
  • Maintain a very clean work environment
  • Monitor day-to-day events of restaurant
  • Record all deliveries (paper, produce etc.) and any errors
  • Coach and support new and existing staff members
  • Oversee the closing of the till and restaurant
  • Weekly trip to the bank
  • Oversee reservations and work with Assistant Manager to make sure all reservations are confirmed and prepared for.
  • Maintain all temperature logs, waste and inventory sheets
  • Make sure all employees follow company policies and guidelines
  • Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff
