Job description

IT Project Manager

Chaney Enterprises is at a pivotal point in our growth. Over the last few years, we have grown in territory and market share. To continue our growth trajectory, we are looking to grow our team by hiring an exceptional IT Project Manager who can lead complex enterprise projects, integrations, and business intelligence initiatives.

Background

An IT Project Manager at Chaney Enterprises oversees the successful implementation of IT projects utilizing sound Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management principles and processes. This role will focus on ensuring the correct capabilities are assigned the the Project, Developing and then managing project plans and strict adherence to SDLC and Project Management processes. The IT Project Manager should be proficient in implementing industry based solutions and integrations of those solutions with other core enterprise platforms including ERP, Datawarehouse, Mobile and Analytic solutions. To do this, Chaney requires people with related business-specific knowledge, experience in the SDLC, including business analysis and a clear understanding of how business requirements translate into technical designs and technology solutions that ensure Chaney's technology systems integrate effectively, remain secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that include scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for complex enterprise projects.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on objectives and deliverables.
  • Lead and Manage project teams through the SDLC from ideation, through change management to successful implementation.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Technology Experts, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages participation and accountability among team members.

Stakeholder Management

  • Be the lead for IT Project team and a stakeholder for both Program and Executive stakeholder meetings.
  • Lead with exemplary communication skills backed by datapoints and leveraging implementation experience to highlight issues and risks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.

Implementation and Integration Oversight

  • Oversee the implementation of complex enterprise IT projects, ensuring solutions seamlessly integrate with existing systems, including but not limited to ERP and business intelligence platforms.
  • Ensure that all technology solutions are designed to meet Chaney’s operational needs and strategic objectives.

Risk Management and Problem Solving

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution, minimizing disruption to project timelines.

Quality Assurance and Testing

  • Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end-users and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Training and Documentation

  • Support the development of training materials and documentation for end-users, facilitating a smooth transition to new systems and processes.
  • Assist in change management initiatives to ensure user adoption of new technologies.

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on implementing complex enterprise projects, integrations, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing operating platforms that integrate with ERP systems and business intelligence will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
