PRISM is seeking a Mid-Level SQL DBA. This is an onsite position in Washington, DC. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/EDUCATION * 7-10 years of experience * Must have SQL Managed Instance Experience * SQL Performance Tuning & Optimization * Monitor database health using native tools and third-party monitoring software to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. * Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and indexes to ensure maximum system throughput and efficiency. * Manage server resources by configuring CPU, memory, and disk I/O parameters for optimal database performance. * SQL Database Security & Compliance * Manage user access by implementing strict role-based access control (RBAC) and managing server permissions. * Audit database systems regularly to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and data privacy regulations. * Apply security patches, service packs, and cumulative updates to mitigate vulnerabilities. * SQL High Availability & Disaster Recovery: * Maintain backup strategies including full, differential, and transaction log backups, ensuring regular recovery testing. * Configure high availability solutions using SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), or database mirroring. * Develop DR plans to guarantee business continuity and minimize Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). * SQL Operations & Maintenance * Automate routine tasks such as database maintenance plans, index rebuilds, and statistics updates using SQL Server Agent jobs or PowerShell. * Support deployment pipelines by reviewing, testing, and executing database schema changes and migrations * Provide on-call support for critical production database incidents and troubleshooting. * Open to learning SolarWinds REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a Public Trust PRISM is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
