Position Summary:

            The IT Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, and direction of information technology to enable business success through enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data analytics. This position has overall responsibility for the execution and success of IT service delivery across the organization, ensuring technology capabilities meet internal customer requirements, security and compliance obligations, and evolving business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop strong business relationships with the leadership team, key stakeholders, and internal customers to ensure alignment between IT priorities and business strategy.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop short- and long-term strategic plans and technology roadmaps that support organizational objectives.
  • Champion business process automation and technology solutions that improve productivity, expand internal capacity, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Manage resource allocation across the IT team to maximize business impact and ensure the team has the skills and capabilities necessary to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Manage technology projects and oversee relationships with vendors and consultants, including supporting the negotiation and management of contracts and statements of work.
  • Analyze complex business needs presented by internal customers and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Ensure the consistency, reliability, and maintainability of enterprise applications by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Direct IT operations and ensure production activities are executed according to documented schedules and service requirements.
  • Develop detailed timelines for application releases and maintain effective project controls by monitoring progress, managing risks, and communicating status.
  • Direct, prioritize, and manage the performance and workload of the IT team.
  • Review technical designs, code, and unit test plans, where applicable.
  • Review and approve business requirements prior to development and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Lead hardware and software evaluations and oversee technology vendor contracts.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and support of software applications and data analytics capabilities through strong technical expertise and trusted business relationships.
  • Serve as a liaison between users, operations, technical personnel, and external partners in the areas of systems design, modifications, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a world-class, secure network and technology infrastructure designed to protect the organization against cyber threats, malicious actors, and unauthorized access.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and products relevant to the organization.
  • Ensure IT systems and processes maintain required security and regulatory compliance through auditable, documented, and traceable controls.
  • Lead coordination with government agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful cybersecurity, regulatory, and security-clearance audits.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, data backup, and system recovery capabilities appropriate to business requirements.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in information technology, including ERP implementation, application development, deployment, and support, with at least five years of experience leading technical teams, including architects and software engineers.
  • Demonstrated portfolio, program, and project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and implementation of technology-enabled business solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of ERP functionality, data structures, integrations, and capabilities, including extending functionality beyond core ERP platforms.
  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability to work effectively with technology teams, business stakeholders, end users, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Expert business relationship management skills, including the ability to translate between technical and business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, utilities, enterprise applications, and technology capabilities relevant to a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of systems analysis, design, programming, integration, and technical documentation principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of ITAR and applicable Export Control compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DFARS, NIST, and CMMC2 requirements within a cleared or regulated environment.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance within a government contracting or defense-related environment preferred.
