The Global Corporate Development team works directly with WEBTOON's top management to define, analyze, and execute M&A/investment opportunities and strategic partnerships. This role is critical for WEBTOON's rapid global expansion, as the company actively pursues both organic and inorganic growth strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication skills for engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist in the execution of the company's strategic growth initiatives including partnership, M&As, and new business development
  • Collaborate with leaders within the company to identify, define, and analyze strategic initiatives, reporting to a leader within the Corporate Development team
  • Assist in the coordination and support of all phases of M&A/investment and partnership process from sourcing and evaluating to execution
  • Conduct in-depth research on markets, competitors, and potential partners; maintain a strong external perspective and form expert viewpoints on fast-evolving market trends
  • Build and cultivate relationships with industry partners, startups, and investors; represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and meetings
  • Partner with cross functional teams (including product, marketing, and content) to launch and execute strategic partnerships and new business initiatives

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience at a top-tier company in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, or private equity
  • Strong knowledge of the US content and media landscape
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, corporate development, and the M&A lifecycle
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; capable of building complex financial models and executive-ready presentations to support decision-making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to be hands-on and deeply involved in execution details
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to changing business needs and priorities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion Attention to detail; Strong work ethic; Proactive and calm under pressure
