As a Logistics & Scheduling Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling movement of feedstocks, products or processing chemicals for Diamond Green Diesel (DGD) facilities. The Logistics & Scheduling Analyst will be able to develop tools and work processes to monitor and track logistic asset performance.

  • Coordinate the logistics and scheduling of feedstock and product shipments to/from DGD facilities.
  • Provide logistics/operational support to DGD Feedstock/Product Trader for trade execution.
  • Work with DGD Commercial Team and DGD Business Partners to ensure supply chain process is optimized to meet DGD objectives.
  • Develop monitoring/analytical tools to track asset performance.
  • Support multi-disciplinary projects to optimize Commercial Team performance.
  • Troubleshoot logistics issues and delays by working collaboratively with other disciplines to resolve delivery issues.
  • Backfill other Commercial team roles, as necessary.
  • Marine & Rail (Feedstock/Product), Truck (Feedstock):
    • Serve as primary scheduling contact for all Marine/Rail movements, including but not limited to, Dock/Terminal, Marine Vessel Owner, Ship Agent, (Export) Customs Team, Third-Party Surveyors/Inspectors, Trade Counterparty, and relevant Operation teams.
    • Serve as primary contact for all truck movements, including but not limited to, the Truck Carriers, Loading/Unloading Terminals, Third-Party Surveyors/Inspectors, Trade Counterparty, and relevant Operation teams (applicable only to truck).
    • Manage and maintain relevant feedstock/product documentation in DGD database (i.e., Bill of Lading, Certificate of Quantity, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Analysis, Letter of Intent (LOI), Product Transfer Documents (PTDs), Traceability Documents, Sustainability Documents, etc.).
    • Work collaboratively with Customs team to acquire and review relevant import/export documents for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) clearance and relevant sales.
    • Manage inbound/outbound feedstock and product supply chain updates daily within DGD systems (i.e., SAP, RSI, MTS, VIMS, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to: creating and issuing vessel nominations, conducting invoice reviews as necessary, managing vessel vetting work processes, supporting month end close work processes. Additional duties, applicable only to truck, include creating and issuing nomination/orders to relevant parties, issuing daily receipt orders to unloading terminals, reconciling and documenting delivered trucks in SAP.
    • Monitor and manage supply chain for bleaching earth and filter aid into DGD facilities (applicable only to rail).
    • Maintain product runouts at DGD facilities and manage product flow signals to Operations teams.
    • Develop systems to manage, track and optimize secondary costs associated with inbound/outbound feedstock/product vessels, rail and third-party truck fleet.
    • Troubleshoot and communicate issues with Commercial Team to resolve operational delays or delivery issues.
    • Develop monitoring tools to track product losses associated with feedstock/product movements.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher level degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
  • Minimum of three years of logistics and/or data entry experience required
  • Basic skill in using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel) required
  • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero St. Charles Diamond Green Diesel location, required
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative, on-site work environment, which will include participation in unscheduled discussions and troubleshooting on an as needed basis required
