Position Overview


We are looking for an experienced Training & Development (T&D) Sr. Manager / Director to manage an artist development project and help the trainees grow into HYBE AMERICA artists. The T&D Sr. Manager / Director will serve as an advisor, coach, and advocate in helping our aspiring trainee to grow, lead and become HYBE AMERICA's next global artist. You will be responsible for coming up with a training & development, based on K-pop philosophies, but localized programs to fit the needs of US based trainees and the music industry. Ideally, you have strong operational and project management experience and background in education, youth development, or life coaching.


This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and implement a localized training & development program for HYBE America trainees, including systems for accountability and leadership growth
  • Identify, recruit, and manage external and internal instructors across key disciplines including vocal, dance, performance, and artist development
  • Champion the holistic development of trainees across mental health, education, vocal, choreography, and other training activities
  • Work in close partnership with HYBE America business partners to determine overall talent and trainee management needs
  • Identify and secure appropriate T&D facilities that align with program requirements and initiatives
  • Establish short- and long-term goals for the T&D team and develop relevant work processes
  • Collaborate with business partners to collect and analyze data and trends across the media and entertainment industry, providing insights to the management team
  • Partner with event organizers to proactively identify and address any logistical or programmatic concerns
  • Monitor each trainee's progress through evaluations and observations, delivering timely feedback and guidance
  • Serve as a resource for trainees and their families when advice or counsel is needed


Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business operations, project management, talent management, or creative management
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Patience and passion for youth development, with the ability to serve as a trusted mentor and advisor to trainees while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear background check and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/G Suite and office management software.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret industry trends and trainee performance data.


It’s a bonus if you have


  • Strong preference for experience in the music industry; additional experience in sports or performance arts industries is also valuable.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing instructors and coaches, and partnering with them to develop structured curricula, training drills, and evaluation frameworks that support artist development and performance excellence.
  • Understanding of overall social content and/or music and dance creative production process
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and a passion for mentoring talent.
  • Background in youth and leadership development.
  • Bilingual in another language such as Korean, Spanish, or Japanese

Salary Range


The salary range for this job is $95,000 to $130,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
