Job description

About HYBE America

HYBE America is part of HYBE, a global leader at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology. We represent some of the worldโ€™s most influential artists and continue to expand our creative and cultural impact across the Americas. At HYBE, we believe in the power of music and foster a culture built on Passion, Autonomy, and Trust.

Position Overview

Our growing HxG Business Operations team at HYBE America is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Operations Intern to support KATSEYE. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operational, financial, and reporting workflows behind the group's touring, physical album, D2C, and fan-facing initiatives โ€” partnering closely with BizOps, Marketing, Finance, and AP teams to keep multiple concurrent workstreams accurate, on schedule, and audit-ready.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week. The internship will run from August 24, 2026 - December 18, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support invoice payment processing, including HYBENET submission, entity/approval routing, and coordination with the AP team through to payment completion
  • Assist in maintaining the HxG Approved Payments Tracker, helping ensure payment requests are accurately logged, due dates are realistic and verified, and urgent items are flagged for prioritized processing
  • Support weekly physical album data reporting for KATSEYE, helping consolidate figures from Microstrategy, D2C Shopify, Korea data, and Luminate into shipment and sales forecast trackers
  • Update pre-order and D2C sales trackers on a recurring schedule, pulling and validating sales data from various sources including Shopify
  • Assist in producing a weekly Key Issues Summary by monitoring fan sentiment and discussion across social platforms (X, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok), helping synthesize top themes for leadership and the broader BizOps team
  • Support daily fan sentiment monitoring and social follower tracking across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Weverse, and Spotify
  • Support merch, physical album, and market strategy research โ€” including competitive benchmarking, pricing/version analysis, and fan response reporting โ€” to help inform album and D2C strategy
  • Support planning and execution for fan-facing activations and events (e.g., video call fansigns, tour lightstick photobooth activations), including staffing, layout, and logistics
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance/AP, and BizOps stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely reporting across all workstreams

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate
  • Strong interest in the music or entertainment industry
  • Bilingual capabilities in Korean and English, with fluency in both languages in a work setting
  • Comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets, including organizing and reconciling data from multiple sources
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple recurring deliverables and deadlines simultaneously
  • Willingness to learn financial/invoice processes and cross-functional approval workflows
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize research and social listening into clear, structured summaries

Itโ€™s a bonus if you have

  • Experience with Shopify, SAP, or similar ERP/e-commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with the K-pop industry, fan culture, and physical album/merch strategy
  • Experience with social listening or fan sentiment monitoring

Technologies/Systems/Software we use

  • HYBENET
  • SAP (Mass Material Creation)
  • Shopify
  • Microstrategy & Luminate
  • Google Suite / Excel

Don't match every skill listed? Almost nobody does! Think you're a good fit anyway? Please let us know.

Compensation

This role is paid on an hourly basis, with up to 35 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $18.47 per hour, in accordance with the Santa Monica minimum wage at the time of posting. This role does not include additional benefits or other compensatory components.
