Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business & Operations (BizOps) Director to manage an artist development project and help the trainees grow into HYBE AMERICA artists. The Biz Ops Director will serve as a key operational leader supporting the development and growth of artists and entertainment properties from training and development through commercialization. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional business operations across artist development, legal and business affairs coordination, financial planning and analysis, and strategic project execution.
Working closely with creative, production, marketing, legal, and executive leadership teams, the Business Operations Director will ensure operational excellence, financial discipline while supporting the successful execution of artist and content initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, and proactive operator who thrives in a fast-paced entertainment environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities across diverse stakeholder groups.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development (T&D) Operations
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and continuously optimize effective training and development curricula for artists and trainees.
- Oversee program management to ensure the seamless execution of all T&D activities, schedules, and learning initiatives.
- Manage scheduling and coordination for artists and trainees across training, content, and project-related activities.
- Develop, monitor, and manage T&D budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Legal & Business Affairs
- Manage the evaluation of new business opportunities and support the progression of opportunities into contractual agreements in collaboration with Legal and/or external counsel.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risks across all aspects of project operations.
- Oversee contract administration and execution processes for artists and trainees, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term business plans and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and key business metrics, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Project Execution & Business Operations
- Support cross-functional project execution across artist development, content production, and business initiatives.
- Support marketing, promotional, and audience development initiatives to maximize project impact and business performance.
Qualifications
- 7 or more years of Business Management, Business Operations experience
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional business operations, driving complex strategic initiatives from concept to execution, and scaling new businesses in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
It’s a bonus if you have
- Bilingual capabilities in Korean and English, with fluency in both languages.
- Previously worked in music or entertainment industry

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build and maintain financial models, budgets, and business analyses.

Salary Range
The salary range for this job is $120,000 to $165,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
