Role: Python/Software Developer

Our Client is seeking an experienced Python/Software Developer to join its development team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of a healthcare software platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python and Django, a solid background working within the healthcare industry, and experience developing production software applications.

The successful candidate will play an important role in building and enhancing the platform from the initial development stages through launch and ongoing improvements. The candidate should be a strong problem solver who can translate business and product requirements into reliable technical solutions while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python/Django code for the healthcare software platform.
  • Build new features, functionality, backend services, and platform capabilities.
  • Translate product, business, and healthcare requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the software platform from initial architecture and implementation through launch and ongoing enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain production-quality software applications following established engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, software developers, healthcare subject-matter experts, product stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, diagnose, and resolve application and technical issues.
  • Ensure software is scalable, maintainable, secure, reliable, and aligned with development standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of the development process.
  • Provide technical recommendations and contribute ideas that improve platform functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Help ensure the software effectively supports healthcare-related workflows, business processes, and operational requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts, development considerations, and potential solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to ongoing platform enhancements based on user feedback, business needs, and evolving healthcare requirements.
    Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of professional Django development experience.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Python and Django.
  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining production software applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, coding standards, testing, debugging, and application maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Experience translating business and product requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, designers, product stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to developing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid development environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working on healthcare software, healthcare technology platforms, clinical workflows, or related healthcare applications is strongly preferred.
