Software Engineer / Healthcare Integration Developer


Position Summary for Software Engineer

This position is responsible for delivering software solutions and healthcare integrations that improve operational performance, support clinical and business workflows, and enable secure, reliable data exchange across healthcare platforms. The role requires strong technical skills, analytical problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet organizational and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain healthcare software applications using PHP, Laravel, SQL, JavaScript, and related technologies.

• Build and support RESTful APIs and system integrations connecting internal applications with external healthcare platforms, including Epic, Netsmart, MatrixCare, and Hospice Tools.

• Develop and maintain healthcare interoperability solutions utilizing HL7 messaging, healthcare data workflows, and integration technologies.

• Partner with customers, stakeholders, and business users to gather requirements, analyze operational challenges, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and integration issues in production environments, ensuring system stability and performance.

• Design and optimize databases, data exchange processes, and application workflows to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.

• Leverage modern development and DevOps practices including Git, Docker, CI/CD concepts, and Agile methodologies to support efficient software delivery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance and customer-facing support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of software solutions.
