Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain daily fuel vendor files and answer questions.
  • Review reconciled invoices for accuracy and post invoices for inventory reconciliation.
  • Investigate and resolve unreconciled invoice variances with PDI Managed Services Fuel Accountants and communicate with vendors as needed.
  • Enter/import information daily into the PDI accounting software.
  • Review fuel inventory variances, investigate, and resolve any issues related to maintenance, sales, cash and/or delivery issues.
  • Review bank drafts to match invoices, investigate, and resolve any variances.
  • Download various Credit Card and Truck Card Settlement files to be saved on server and imported to accounting software.
  • Work with Operations to obtain Trendar reporting, research, investigate, and resolve unpaid transactions and communicate with vendors to process payments.
  • Work with Fuel Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely year-end audit.
  • Assist in the documentation of internal controls relating to our accounting operations.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years accounting experience, preferably in a retail fuel environment
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting/finance
  • Strong knowledge of application and accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational, written, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, most importantly with MS Excel
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Team player and ability to work in fast-paced changing environment
  • Previous experience using PDI software, a plus, but not required

  • Experience in consumer retail industry strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
