Job Description Clean Fuel Accounting Supervisor - Decatur, ILCarbohydrate Solutions ControllingThis is a full-time, exempt level position.Position Summary:Accountants at ADM have a general understanding of accounting systems and processes and should be considered highly knowledgeable in assigned areas. They have strong ability to prepare and review accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department. They must demonstrate self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas as applicable.

They should demonstrate ability to support projects through to completion.Responsibilities:Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysis for clean fuel activitiesPerform and support internal and externally required program reportingPerform self-review of work outputs and evaluation of process inputs in order to identify errors in financial results and come to resolution as neededUnderstand, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness of end to end Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements)Work with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial results and ensure that the financial statements accurately reflect business activity related to clean fuel activitiesUnderstand and preserve the accuracy of relevant balance sheet(s)Prepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules Understand and apply clean fuel regulations to accounting processesPartner with business leaders, finance, technical accounting, and external support on all end to end clean fuel activitiesCritically evaluate the processes performed understand span of control and initiate changes and escalations as neededRequired Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersAbility understand and apply technical guidance for clean fuel activitiesAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Internal ControlsFinancial Analysis and operationsKnowledge of Governance, Risk and ComplianceDesigning Queries and Reports using Financial SystemsTechnological literacyInternal motivationStrong prioritization and organizationAbility to understand processes through hands on involvementIntellectual curiosityCollaborative mindset and strong teamwork capabilitiesAbility to follow provided guidance and apply general accounting principlesProject management experience is preferredEducation Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accountingExperience: 2-6 years accounting experience preferredExperience with tax or other highly technical accountingCPA, similar professional certification preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successful perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsStandard office safety regulationsExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed? REF:109424BRBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
