Facilities Manager (Industrial Electrical & Maintenance)Location: Rochester, NY Department: Manufacturing / Facilities Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Position SummaryThe Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of all production equipment, utilities, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring extensive industrial electrician experience.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure maximum equipment availability and operational readiness. • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, control panels, conveyors, and production equipment. • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs. • Oversee HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, lighting, and facility infrastructure. • Maintain SOPs and train employees. • Ensure OSHA, NEC, GMP, Lockout/Tagout, and safety compliance. • Manage vendors, budgets, maintenance inventory, and capital projects. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.Minimum QualificationsMinimum five (5) years of industrial maintenance/facilities experience with extensive industrial electrician experience (required). • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. • Knowledge of 480V/240V/120V systems, PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, HVAC, and mechanical systems. • Experience in regulated manufacturing preferred. • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsJourneyman or Master Electrician license preferred. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field. • CMRP certification and CMMS experience preferred. • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.Physical RequirementsLift up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, climb ladders, and respond to emergency maintenance needs.BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Company Holidays, Professional Development, Career Growth.Leadership ResponsibilitiesProvide visible, hands-on leadership within the manufacturing environment. • Lead by example by actively participating in maintenance and electrical troubleshooting activities when necessary. • Establish high standards for maintenance quality, urgency, accountability, and equipment care. • Build collaborative relationships across Production, Quality, Compliance, and Operations. • Effectively communicate maintenance priorities, repair status, and operational risks to leadership. • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
