Job description

Greenlight Networks is a leading ultra-high-speed broadband provider delivering internet services at speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second for residential and small business customers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Network Operations Technician to join our Network Operations team and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting network operations, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. This position may be based in any Greenlight Networks market and will support network operations across our entire service footprint

As a Network Operations Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining network reliability and supporting our customers and field teams. Key responsibilities include: Monitor network performance and respond to alarms and service issues Assist with network outage management, troubleshooting, and recovery efforts Partner with the Network Engineering team to identify maintenance and optimization opportunities Support new market launches, district cutovers, and network rollouts Provision and prepare networking equipment for residential installations Maintain accurate records of network activities, maintenance, and incidents Coordinate services and activities with contractors and third-party vendors Support Field Operations with installations, audits, provisioning, and related activities Assist Customer Concierge teams with technical troubleshooting and issue resolution What We're Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of home networking concepts and network architecture Knowledge of network equipment, including routers and switches Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional email communication skills Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities Ability to work independently and effectively manage changing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and reporting Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an ISP, telecommunications, technical support, or network operations environment Familiarity with ISP infrastructure and field operations Experience using command-line interfaces and troubleshooting tools Database experience Experience with mapping or GIS systems Associate degree or related two-year technical degree CompTIA Network+ certification preferred CompTIA Tech+ certification required Work Environment & Schedule Our Network Operations Center provides coverage between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and team members must be flexible to work non-traditional business hours as needed, including: Evenings Weekends Holidays Regular on-call rotations Compensation: Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this position range is between $25.24- $33.94 an hour
