Job description

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Chemical Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join the Specialty Chemicals, Inks and Dispersions Division in Rochester, NY.

This individual will be responsible for all business and operational aspects of the Consolidated Chemical Warehouse. In this role, you will interact with numerous functional groups to maintain and improve business and manufacturing results. Additional responsibilities to include:

Key Responsibilities:
   This is a full-time, in person role. 
   Supervision of direct personnel on a Monday to Friday Day shift operation. 
   Manage labor plans, timecards, vacation and sick time.
   Lead through professionalism and consistency, including coaching, staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
   Responsible for overall performance of the area.  
   Maintain safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards across the facility.
   Drive reliable delivery operations with a focus on meeting customer deadlines. 
   Oversee operational and quality standards.  Ensuring compliance with established SOPs.
   Champion standard work and continuous improvement.
   Lead safety reviews for the warehouse.  Ensure corrective actions are established and completed.
   Work with technical and other support staff to address any quality concerns.  Interact with customers as necessary.
   Manage Inventory Control using count audits and full physical audits.
   Provide Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) training, ensure adherence to the regulations, participate in annual audits with agent of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
   Manage uniforms for WH personnel (Ordering/Returns).

Required Skills/Experience:
   3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
   High School Diploma or equivalent
   Experience working in a chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated warehouse environment.
   Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
   Proven team player with demonstrated strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
   Ability to effectively work and communicate across team boundaries (oral and written)
   Excellent people skills
   Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Preferred SAP experience.
