We’re looking for a driven and experienced Plant Manager to join a stable and well‑established leader in the flexible packaging industry. This role is critical to overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity, and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

As Plant Manager, you will direct and coordinate all aspects of production, shipping and receiving, quality, and maintenance/engineering. You’ll work closely with department managers and supervisors to address manufacturing challenges, optimize resources, and strengthen employee capabilities. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and the ability to foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead plant operations across safety, production, quality, and maintenance/engineering.
  • Partner with department managers to resolve personnel and manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and implement divisional goals aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor schedules, backlog, and production focus to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, profit improvement plans, and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and plant safety rules.
  • Supervise department managers and engineers, including training, performance evaluation, and team development.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in extrusion laminating and/or coating.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment capabilities.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, safety practices, and operational excellence.
